This place literally saved my life. I came in hopeless and now I feel better than I have in a long time. Kara is always wonderful and patient even when I would be in not so great of a mood. She takes the time to listen and genuinely wants to help. Angela made the whole TMI process easy and comfortable. She was very knowledgeable and just an all around great person to be around. If you need a pick me up, she's the person to do just that. August was very helpful when I needed assistance with the cost of treatments. He's always so sweet and willing to work with me so that I could get the help that I needed. Ms. Lisa has the best personality and keeps you laughing even on bad days. When I needed something done, she was always there to help. Greg is the best therapist I've ever had. He's very easy to talk to and makes the whole experience comfortable and worthwhile. If you're in need, this office is a lifesaver!

I first like to say, I’ve been at Barrier Island for a while now, and had many psychiatrist and others. But I can honestly say Steve has helped me through a lot of things, and I appreciate his honesty, and the matter of fact, when it comes to the issues that I deal with daily. Jennifer has been a lifesaver to me… She is right on when it comes in my medication and I don’t know what I would do without here to process and deal with my day. She simply amazing and she is definitely an asset to Barrier Island. Thank you all so I can live another day.

This practice and Dr. Hayes have helped me completely change my life around. I finally received the proper diagnoses, found medicines that have me healthy and stable after trying for years to find the right ones, and also have been given resources and tools for different therapies and non-drug treatments that have been beyond beneficial. The office is so kind and supportive, and I would recommend Barrier Islands to anyone looking for an excellent private practice.
