The Black Cow

I have heard a lot of good reviews about the Black Cow so I had been looking forward to trying it out. It did not disappoint. It's located in a good area of downtown; I'm walking distance to Broadway. I enjoyed the chicken and waffles plate. The fried chicken was juicy and tender and not oily. If you like jalapeno jelly, the pimento bacon cheeseburger. It's delicious. It is a small restaurant so be prepared to hear your neighbor's conversations.

I brought my family to this restaurant and we enjoyed this restaurant. The food was great and good to see local military eating. That tells me the environment is positive. The food was very tasteful. The portion size was great as well for the price we payed. Below in the pictures are grilled shrimp, the friend grouper and a few sides.

Came in with a party of 8 and was quickly seated (we sat outside). delicious southern style food and awesome staff. definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for a great meal.
