Credit Island is in the Mississippi floodplain, no official paths are created or maintained. However, many fat tire bikers have discovered that the midsummer beachfront around Credit Island provides a rocky and sandy environment to test their off-roading toughness. The walking trail, on the other hand, provides a level moderate stroll on a crushed rock surface around the island, allowing access to the island's many features. There is a disc golf course, picnic shelters, and rugby, soccer, baseball, and soccer grounds on the island. Motorists can reach the island's walking paths and bicycling trails by taking W River Drive and turning south onto Credit Island Road, where parking and other amenities are available.

There are so many different things you can do here. If you have the right stuff you could spend an entire day here. Start with some disc golf, then take a nice hike and if you need to cool down and really do some relaxing this is a great spot for kayaking. It's a perfect place for a nice picnic and if you like to fish you can do that too. Good clean fun!
If you have kids, there is a WWII tank that's been there since I was young. They will absolutely love playing on it. There is also a disc golf course there, plus many spots to fish or have a picnic.
What a great place to get your feet wet in the Mississippi River. We seen eagles osprey and turtles. My puppy loved it.
