Daikokuya

Had the Daikoku ramen combo with the fried rice. The ramen was good but next time I’ll add the kotterri flavor to make the broth richer. The noodles were cooked well and it came with a whole egg. The chashu pork had such a great flavor I should have gotten extra. I didn’t care for the salad. The fried rice was amazing, I’d go back just for that.

I usually have their Lunch Special, which for me consists of their house (Daikoku) ramen and California sushi rolls. Instead of the sushi, you can have vegetable spring rolls or a chicken dish. The ramen's soup is excellent; you can add koteri (back fat) to it. The pork is always tender. Parking at the back is usually available.

When I first came I ordered the fried rice and the California roll with an asahi beer. And loved it! I’ve been coming ever since weekly. The staff knows me so well I only need to be seated and just wait for my order without even saying anything. They also make sure to treat me like family asking me what I’ve been up to all week. This place is great! I love it!
