If you enjoy seeing how history connected to people's lives and in this case; how Cary developed and how the railroad impacted the Page-Walker families, then check this small history center. Beautiful gardens surround the history center. Easy parking. I had an interesting conversation with the women who were tending to the garden out front of the history center. They gave me a bit of insight into the upkeep of the exterior landscaping.
Nice place to visit for an afternoon. The outside gardens are immaculately landscaped. The inside exhibit we saw was Eyes Wide Open. Some of these quilts are absolutely amazing! We continued upstairs to see a watercolor exhibit and also found some photos of the house and surrounding area from back in the day. I loved seeing this piece of history.
Such a beautiful place. Honestly a hidden gem in Cary. Had the pleasure of shooting a wedding here and was pleasantly surprised. It's got a nice little view of downtown Cary & great scenery for photos. Nice amount of space & staff was amazing.
