I'll start off by saying I hate ordering by phone because, more often than not, my order is wrong. I took a chance on this place, and everything was spot on. I ordered 3 different meals. In all, my family ate smoked chicken, spare ribs, brisket, jerk pork, mac and cheese, collard greens, rice and peas, and corn bread. The pork isn't your traditional Jamaican jerk pork, in my opinion, but it was super flavorful. Had a bit of Asian twang to it, which I appreciated! The brisket had a nice smokey bark and was super tender. The mac and cheese was on point! The collard greens were tender with a bit of bite and full of delicious flavor! The cornbread had what I believe to be small slices of apple or pear baked inside. Whatever fruit it was, it made it even more delicious. It also came with a syrup that complimented it quite nicely. I'm a picky guy when it comes to food, particularly BBQ! This small local joint truly aims to please! I definitely recommend this small local business for your BBQ craving!!!!!!

I had been looking for a good bbq place and this one did not disappoint. I ordered the half pound of brisket, 1 full rack of baby back ribs, small Mac and cheese, 2 cornbreads and medium size pork beans. I ordered for 2 people and there was half a rack left over and most of the beans. In the future I would order only half of rack of baby Backs and small beans but now I have food for tomorrow. Again, I was not too happy I spent 78 dollars on the food but once I tried the food it was worth every penny. I can’t wait to go back. This will be my new spot and I would recommend to my friends/ family. 9.5/10 because I wish they had a spicy bbq sauce.

Absolutely the best BBQ hands down. Brisket, short ribs, baby back ribs, burgers, mac n cheese, bbq brisket beans, burgers and desserts are all second to none. Im always overly satisfied when I order from here. Big portions also! Love me some bare bones bbq.

MISSION BBQ DAVIE REVIEWS

I love BBQ and I have been here for lunch a while ago. I had a regular go-to BBQ Restaurant but they closed recently. My sister is in town and she was hungry for BBQ. After checking out our options I decided to take her to Mission BBQ. When you first walk in, the smell of smoking meat. We were quickly greeted with samples of pulled pork. It was so yummy. We ordered the 3 meat platter (we chose brisket, pulled pork and sausage) and ordered collard greens and Cole slaw. It came with corn bread. We were BLOWN AWAY at the flavor of the brisket. My sister has had lots of brisket and said it was the best she has EVER had. I agree completely. Everything was so yummy. This is going to be our NEW go-to BBQ spot. On top of the food, the atmosphere with the salute to our first responders makes this restaurant in my top 5.

Mike, the manager took care of our order. Great guy, tonight was our first visit, and after trying the food, we will be back often. Very good ribs, and I just loved the Mac and cheese, Excellent!!!

This place is great for BBQ. Been here many times. The food is always fresh, so tasty and flavorful especially their brisket. Yum. Staff is nice and attentive. And service is quick.

SHORTY'S BBQ REVIEWS

I’m always looking for great BBQ places nationwide and Shorty’s BBQ has been added to the list. The first time I ate here I was a total newbie and asked what was the sauce they give on the side for? The super nice waitress let me know and she told me that “people go crazy for this sauce, they put it on everything”. I tried it and definitely was hooked on putting it over my fries! Everything I’ve ordered at Shorty’s has been great and the staff is always friendly. I highly recommend Shorty’s BBQ. Definitely try their sauce and see what you’ll be putting it on! (My pictures are of their Lunch Specials).

Great BBQ!!! Stopped in for some BBQ after work, and it was wonderful. Nadia R was wonderful as server, and made sure that my glass stayed full. She was very polite and her customers service was outstanding. If you save room for dessert make sure to grab a piece of chocolate cake. See you next.

Shorty’s was spot on with our order. We had pick-up for a 12 person party. Everything was delicious and well packed. I’d definitely order again.
