The Cherry Pit Cafe & Pie Shop

I stopped here today while traveling and I just want to say wow! Everybody was friendly and the food was great. I got the crab quiche with potato soup and my boyfriend got country fried steak with eggs and grits. Everything tasted fresh and homemade and was out in under 10 minutes. I don’t know when I’ll be back in the area but would definitely eat here again. And kudos to the owner for the way they handle customer complaints in reviews. I didn’t have any complaints but I always read reviews. And there’s no way that 100% of you customers can have everything go right, so it’s always a red flag for me when a owner replies to every single complaint with you’re lying or you’re stupid. But not this owner they seem to want to make things right. This is great little restaurant to try, I hate I didn’t get the pie. Maybe next time.

The food was excellent! Wish we lived closer to enjoy more often. We had shepherds pie and the grilled lemon chicken. The pie was very good and the chicken was extremely moist and tender. Also had Boston cream pie which was very good and the selection of pies was great. Will be back again when we get on that side of town. Been a long time that we have been happy with our meals eating out. Menu had great selection and cant wait to try other items. Highly recommend! Wish I would have taken pictures, will next time for sure.

This was my first time visiting and I was pleased with my dining experience. The staff were courteous and patient with us. The food was delivered quickly. We ate outside and it was very peaceful . The food was tasty and the portion size was just right, although the grits might need a little bit more love... The desserts look amazing but I'll need to come back to taste them. Overall it was a great breakfast date option and we will be returning to try some other menu items.
