3 Best Cakes in San Bernardino, CA

Grew up in the area and went back for a visit. I was hoping this bakery still made a buttermilk tea cake that I had enjoyed in the past. David Ortiz owner happily replied absolutely we do , it’s a long time favorite! He disappeared in the back and returned with the pink bakery box. When we got it home we tried it , and it still had the lovely original recipe flavor, and was super light and moist. So 5 stars David Ortiz for keeping this beautiful bakery alive after all these years.

Did my daughters cake here 15 years ago now gunna order my baby girls 1year birthday cake as well I loved how my first born daughters cake had came out.

I have been blessed to taste the deliciousness love hard work and dedication thru cake ,cup cakes ,cookies and more for many years . Best so far has been mine and my husband's wedding cake . June 9th, 2024. Solid cake beautiful easy to cut because by the time it sat in the sun for 2 plus hours we just ate by hand .(We did have in deep freezer after picking up at 7 am. 5 pm ceremony. )(Oops)on me .no complaints.The kids thought I was crazy but also loved it . Have fun in the moment. tasted yummy and I had already gotten my special time with admiring our wedding cake. Coming back for our special one year anniversary cake. Like a slice of heaven in every bite. Don't be afraid to ask questions and modify .HE IS A MAN THATS TRUST WORTHY.

We purchased a tres leche cake for my sons birthday and it was phenomenal! Cake was scrumptious, the frosting was the perfect amount of sweetness, and the peaches and strawberries were a nice touch with Oreos. She piped happy birthday on it right then and then at pick up. Also bought the last two jalapeño and cream cheese breads and those did not disappoint!! The bread was soft but had great chew and they were filled generously in comparison to what I’ve bought at the markets. We would go back to try the pan dulce.

Cake was delicious the lady was so friendly and the cake is the best one I’ve tried hands down the best!!! Definitely recommend it’s so juicy and the fruit is so fresh.

First off Im still wondering why im just finding this place! After calling about 8 other bakeries whome I shall not name Josie's Bakery was the only one who makes whole tres leches cakes, the other places only sold slices and I can almost guarantee they aren't as good as Josie's. On top of them having what I need, when I called to ask a very kind voice answered and had quick and accurate answers to my questions. Upon walking in I was quickly tended to by the Lady and Gentleman working the bakery and given the rundown on what they had to offer. They had a variety of pan dulces (sweet bread) that looked so delicious. I opted for the Easter colored Conchitas pink and blue 2 for 1.50. These conchitas are im my opinion some of the best Ive had from LA to SB. The worst conchitas are the ones where the sugary sweet topping falls off on the first bite. But let me tell you thats not the case with these. I bit in and not like that McDonald's CEO did but really bit in and all that goodness stood right where it was supposed to. The tres leches cake I got is for about 8 people, though you could get more depending on how you cut it for 40 bucks even, all dressed up with strawberries, kiwis and oreo cookies. The variety I chose is a mocha one and man o man is it good. Its not pasty nor dry its not too moist nor too sweet and definitely not to heavy on the mocha it is literally a damn good balance of everything. My total rang up to 41.50 and i was able to pay via zelle. They accept many payment methods even EBT. Josie's Bakery is as of now my new go to for sweets. Ill be back with another review about the tamales they sell.
