“Wintergreen Gorge ensures perfectly maintained trails with a scenic view. This 2.3-mile out-and-back trail is generally considered an easy route. The trail takes an average of 1 hour to complete. This is a popular place for various outdoor activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, and running. The trails are primarily natural surfaces, with some areas of compact dirt. Visitors can enjoy some solitude during quieter times of the day and this trail from May through October. The main entrance has ADA parking spaces and an accessible trail section. Wintergreen Gorge also features amenities like kid-friendly hikes and wheelchair-accessible car parking for the comfort of visitors.”

PRESQUE ISLE STATE PARK REVIEWS

Much bigger and more interesting than we expected. We were 4 minutes too late to go into the lighthouse but took pictures and enjoyed the rest of the park anyway. There’s picnic tables and restrooms and places to ride bikes.

What a beautiful State Park. So much to see. Being a holiday weekend,, there were alot of people there but still felt like we had our own space.

Been visiting here my whole life. Great area for catching sunrise/sunset. Well maintained paths for biking/walking. Nature watchers must visit.

ASBURY WOODS REVIEWS

Beautiful set of trails, playground, and picnic pavilion near the nature center. There are a variety of programs for all ages and the trail is interpretive with scalable QR codes to learn about the flora, fauna, and history of Asbury Woods. Definitely worth a visit seasonally, as the water levels in Walnut Creek vary and the trails are well maintained and easy to navigate.

Definitely worth the hike, you can have a great time with either family, friends, or even by yourself! So much to look at no matter the trail you take.

Loved it, lots of trails, and animals to see. Lots of different trails.

WINTERGREEN GORGE REVIEWS

Wintergreen Gorge is easily one of the best photography spots in Erie. The creek views Stunning. The amount of unique little hidden spots Endless. You’ve got waterfalls, moss-covered trails, rocky cliffs, and the kind of golden light that makes every photo feel like a dream. It’s the perfect place to just wander with a camera and find something new every time. Whether you’re shooting portraits, landscapes, or just vibing in nature, this spot is an absolute must. 10/10, always a favorite.

The park was great. Trail and side passages were well maintained and nearly litter free. Maps and information plaques were everywhere making it easy to not get lost. The views were amazing and it was quiet even with the people and the bridge. I would highly recommend this park.

This is one of my favorite places. I love walking here weekly and just listening to the sound of the water. It is a truly magical place that is more than the sum of its parts. Give it a visit.
