The trail is a 2.4-mile loop with an elevation gain ranging from 83 to 121 feet. It takes approximately 40 minutes to complete. The trail is the oldest in the system and offers a wide range of enjoyment for people of all ages throughout all days of the year. The trail is also one of the state’s natural hardwood forests, and the fall color on the golf course is breathtaking. Visitors can also enjoy its 18-hole golf course. Petrifying Springs Park is open year-round and is a pleasant place to visit anytime. The hiking trail also includes facilities like barbecue grills, a baseball field, public restrooms, a volleyball court, picnic tables, a playground, designated leash areas, and kid-friendly hikes for more comfort.”
