ST. PATRICK'S COUNTY PARK REVIEWS
This was the second hike of the day also in Indiana at the St. Patrick’s Park which runs along the St Joseph River. It is also part of the #chikamingopenlands #10trail challenge. This is a very multi purpose park with everything from hiking trails, kids play areas, pavilions, a disc golf course, and on the way out I noticed that there is a birdwatching trail system near the entrance. Hiking trails are well marked and a variety of packed dirt, mowed grass, and wooden bridges. This is definitely kid friendly, dog on leash friendly there’s a multitude of parking areas as the park is very large, there is an entrance fee to get into the park if you don’t have a yearly pass but I would say it’s well worth the cost of admittance. Interesting side fact about this park is if you start at Madeline Bertrand in Michigan and walk along the river trail you will connect into this trail system.
An absolutely beautiful place on the Indiana, Michigan border. There are countless walking and hiking trails, many of them alongside the river. There are volleyball courts, picnic areas, places to fish with easy river access. There are conventional playground areas for kids, as well as a natural playground. There are old apple orchards, barns and grapevines. You can rent canoes during the summer season as well.
This is a great place to get outdoors and go for a walk in nature. There are many trails to choose from: wooded, meadow and along the St. Joseph River. There is a bubbling creek that runs through the wooded area. In winter they have a tubing hill that is lots of fun to take kids and teenagers. They also offer cross country skiing and even snow shoeing (which we have not yet tried but want to).

IZAAK WALTON LEAGUE REVIEWS
Visited with some of our friends and shot the outdoor field archery course. The course was a lot of fun and very challenging for a traditional recurve shooter. The shots were varying in range from closer than 10yrds to 60-70yards and it was nice to have uphill and downhill shots mixed in. This would be a great course for anyone looking to get in a little pre Total Archery Challenge practice in.
Great place for just hangin loose archery and fishing available, as well as hiking trails One of the cheapest places in town to rent for parties only $3000 for a weekend (Friday to Sunday). This used to be Wheelock park.
