CAMERON PARK REVIEWS
We hiked the River and Johnie trails. The river trail is flat, scenic and shaded. The Johnie trail was moderate to difficult traveling up the side of the bluff. There are some very good trail signs, but many junctions with intersecting trails with no markers at all. You probably won’t get lost, but may have a hard time getting to a specific location. Good parking areas and bathrooms. Nice for a city park, adding good signage makes it excellent.
This was a surprise for us - being our first stay in Waco! The parks were absolutely beautiful! Clean and well-kept. We enjoyed our day walking around, and there were plenty of people out having picnics and riding bikes. Definitely felt safe! I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a daytime activity.
This is a really nice park with good hiking trails. You can take the easy path along the river or take the paths into the woods for some uphill climbing. We walked both for almost a 7 mile round-trip. Climb the Jacob's Ladder staircase if you want a challenging climb.

WOODWAY PARK REVIEWS
Well preserved community park located on the outskirts of the Waco. Ample parking space with wheelchair accessible parking available next to the shore. The entrance and the route is marked with one-way so ensure you enter/exit in the correct path. Good place to relax and take your dog for a walk. Has an attached gazebo for family dine-in. Would suggest to visit while in Waco. #HappyVisiting.
Bring my dog here every weekend, we walk the trails then end up at the lake where he loves to play (and cool down) in the water. Always lots of people also playing disk golf. There is a playground for the kiddos.
Great mountain bike / hiking trails nestled in this little park. The trails are short and it's difficult to get a ton of miles in but, they are really nice. Very scenic with the lake right there.

MIDWAY PARK REVIEWS
I really enjoy the trails at Midway Park. You can access them from the campground as there is an abandoned road that connects it to the public park. The cedar tree forest feels magical in a way and the birds are all over the place...lots of variety of species too! They seem to be fairly used to human presence so they will fly and perch with you close by and are not easily spooked. This area is also easily flooded so at times after hard rains some parts of the trail are impassable. Go experience it for yourself and make sure to get off the trail sometimes. Lots of beautiful hidden places to explore.
Always nice and quiet, clean bathrooms and plenty of picnic tables in the shade. Ample parking, well maintained playground. Large grass area for some casual softball or ball sports. Grouping of large tables under a roof in the middle of the field which can be reserved in advance. Good quiet alternative to its sister park which is a bit busier against the lake shore next door.
Very nice park. Spacious sites. Decent shower house. Well maintained. Discount for National Park pass holders. Would stay here again.
