“Galster Wilderness Park Nature Center is a small museum and educational centre. This 42-acre wilderness park provides scenic hiking trails. The Park is one of the last remaining native plant communities of Southern California. Black Walnut trees grow on the north slope of San Jose Hills. The trail's elevation gain is 439 feet. A few picnic tables are available to enjoy playing soccer with your kids or have a nice picnic on the benches. The park is mainly covered with Coastal Sage Scrub, the dominant plant community. These plant communities are essential habitats for various birds, mammals, reptiles, and invertebrates.”
