Quaint place to walk with various trails in a park with meadows. The trails are clearly and frequently marked which is very nice. They are also well maintained and you get some decent views as you wander around. My main complaint would be the amount of road noise but that isn't something I hold against the park considering its location. I would be open to coming back and tying some of the longer trails. Visited on.
First time visitors at the Preserve. We head off the Karner Barrens trailhead and enjoyed the StoryWalk - "When will it be Spring?" We sure enjoyed ourselves reading the book out loud as we continued along the trail. A great place to get out and enjoy nature, peruse the gift shop at the Discovery Center, and the fake treats in the glass jar (Take One). This place is a hidden gem!
Love birdwatching there. Such a unique environment. Wonderful educational experiences for kids and adults. Just a fantastic place.
