This trail offers a moderate to hard level hike, with the difficulty varying based on one's fitness level. Opting for the clockwise direction allows for strategic breaks during the uphill sections and presents stunning views from the summit. While descending, hikers may encounter snakes crossing the trail, so caution is advised. Additionally, the trail boasts patches of vibrant wildflowers, enhancing the overall experience.
We loved this hike.. very green and so many beautiful views. Not easy though.. great workout, 3 miles to the top where the FCC towers are. Take plenty of water for you and your pets… wear sunscreen and hats. We were glad to go on a cold day, not sure I’d do this on a hot one. If you do, I recommend going early in the morning or late afternoon before sunset.
Great hiking trail. It gets hard at the beginning & for around 3 Miles, continuous ascent & it gets further difficult as you approach the peak of the mountain. Lovely scenery & beautiful nature. Lots of sun, so be careful & have water on you. No restrooms. No parking lot, you park on the street side.
