Great park with everything you could need: shady picnic areas, small water stream, nice views, walking trails, free parking. The main parking is relatively small but there is ample reserve parking. There is a public toilet with running water and a public swimming pool ( please check if it is opened) before you go. Park is open during four seasons. Enjoy.
Beautiful park at the base of Mount Diablo. Love that dogs are allowed on all trails here and even allowed off leash on the Stage Road trail. Stage road trail was very nice, gentle rolling hills, but lots of stream crossings, so may not be stroller-able after heavy rains/in the winter.
Had a great hike here. The hills are so green during spring. The trails can be very muddy after a rainy day so be prepared. A lot of the trails are easy and wide. Most of the park lacks any shade so bring a good amount of water during a hot day.
