HEMLOCK BLUFFS NATURE PRESERVE REVIEWS
Great place for a walk though the woods. The path is well maintained with a nice soft wood chip surface and raised wooden walkways where the path is subject to standing water. There some good climbs where the path uses timber to make steps. All the trails are well marked and nicely shaded with tall trees. it's a good place to take dogs (on a leash) and kids. There is also a kid playground near the parking lot and entrance. We highly recommend this place to stretch your legs and enjoy nature.
The two main trail loops cater to both a shorter walk and a longer one depending on what you’re looking for on a given day. Nice and shaded from all the trees and the unpaved ground and boardwalk make for a very cushy walk. I love this place and recommend it for anyone who loves mushrooms as much as I do.
This is nice a nice little trail (well 2 trails). If you do both trails it’s about 2 miles, no pavement which is nice. Flat for the majority but there are some stairs. Looking forward to going again when the leaves start to change.

WILLIAM B. UMSTEAD STATE PARK REVIEWS
What a fantastic spot for a relaxing autumn Saturday! Although the trail was quite busy, it didn't dampen anyone's enjoyment. The path was well-kept, and everyone was friendly and seemed to have a good time. There are lots of different trails for all skill levels, so don't hesitate to try a new one each time you come. I'll definitely be back as the weather gets cooler!
This is a beautifully maintained park with plenty of trail options. They also have grills and picnic tables. A lovely place to spend a few hours alone or with friends or family. There are restrooms on site by the parking lot. I'm always surprised at how many people local to rhe Triangle haven't been here yet, it's definitely a favorite.
Did a 6 mile hike on the Company Mill Trail on the Reedy Creek side of the park. Nice trail with good views of the stream. Plenty more trails, shorter and longer; also trails for biking and equestrian riding. There is a visitor center with restrooms and picnic tables.

CROWDER COUNTY PARK REVIEWS
I have been visiting this park for 20 years. Our favorite part has always been the trail around the pond. You can see turtles, ducks, tad poles, frogs, lots of birds and squirrels. Trail is either boardwalk or paved. You can call the office about donating your Christmas tree as fish habitats. The front parking lot is for the larger playground. There is a public restroom next to this playground. The back parking lot is next to the field that has a volleyball court and baseball diamond plus just plenty of space to run around. There is a small playground as well. Another rsteoom is located here as well. There are shelters with picnic tables that you can ren near front and back parking lot. Check their website also for their children's programs. Stuff for all ages.
Wife, our dog, and myself drove to the park to walk the paved trails around their small lake. Enjoyable walk. Few people on the trails. They have a playground for kids with some modern equipment, like a slide made with rollers instead of a metal or plastic slide. Trails through woods and some prairie plantings.
This was a great place to take our 3 yr old. We really enjoyed the playgrounds and had a great time walking the nature trail around the large pond that had a ton of turtles and back. I loved that they had sanitizer stations at each playground and their bathrooms were super clean and close by.
