Lovely hike, weather up there was very pleasant, went on a 100F+ day but at 5000ft you really can't feel all that heat. The paths were well defined and clean, a lot of trees making the most part of the trail shaded. Be aware that the hike is very rocky and steep. There's a small river and waterfall that are beautiful to enjoy. Parking is very limited, you should get there early. Go prepared!
Beautiful and serene...you don't need to hike the entire mountain to enjoy the beauty of nature. Very tranquil with the sound of a running stream, although summiting is an amazing view, just get out on the trail and enjoy life at your own pace. For winter months (not required, but recommended) poles, gators, and crampons/traction spikes.
Visited this place. Drive up was nice, and the road was safe. It's a beautiful spot with plenty of snow/ice still on the ground. We only went for a short walk as there was too much ice on the trails to go further without the proper gear.
