Great for hiking. There are shaded trails and trails with great views of the surrounding areas. This park shares a border with Newell Open Space so you get twice as much space for hiking. Definitely bring water in the summer, wear sunblock, and be prepared for ticks, flies, and mosquitoes.
Hawk Central, lots of resident, migrant and over wintering birds of prey in the region. Great location for hiking, walking, horse riding, wildlife and nature viewing.... look for fall and winter hikes from Larry Broderick and Solano Land Trust, we generally do one a month Sept through March.... check Solano Land Trust website for details.
Not much shade. The trails are nice and wide, most of them. There are cow trails too. Lots of cow poo too. Overall nice place for a walk or run.
