We enjoyed a Sunny day. The park was bigger than we assumed it would be. It isn’t for people with disabilities or any walking difficulties, in the beginning there is uphill path, moderate hike. There are some picnic tables and benches spread all over the place. And the toilets are far from the entrance, dirty (only down side) Pond and Lake with geese, ducks and other birds. So many trails! To be shared with bikers and hikers. There is an entrance fee for humans and their dogs. Apparently cats can go for free!
Rockville Hills Regional Park is a great place to go mountain biking or hiking. The trails are a little rocky and a mix of flatter open fire roads and single track which cuts up and through the hills. In the Summer the park is bone dry and likely best to visit in Spring for better scenery.
Really enjoyed coming to this park with the family. A short hike that’s worth it at the end with a lake view. Plan for 1-2 hrs here. Lots of vineyards to see on your way up there. There are quite a few mountain bikers , so keep that in mind of having to move often to the side for them .
