Helpful staff. Very clean facilities minus a few restrooms which are tagged and commonly low on toliet paper especially during the week, Still cold, and very windy for camping. Beware of mountain lions, snakes, deer, and other wildlife. Smart camp: Stop leaving food out when going to bed or going to the lake...we sit back and watch raccoons, squirrels and wild life destroy your camp site.
This place is beautiful! The cactus, sage bushes, and oak trees on the north side abruptly give way to pine and evergreen trees on the south slopes of the San Bernadino mountains. Camping spots for tents and full service spots for RV/trailers. Rainbow trout are planted here all year around, and the lake is open to personal watercraft and swimming (designated areas). Come in the fall to see a rainbow of color as the leaves change.
Beautiful scenic lake. At the time I was there water was clear and looked so clean. Great place for camping, hiking, water play, just about everything. Fishing that time was no-go. None of my buddies caught anything.
