My wife and I are new to Lindale. We loved walking the trails at Abilene State Park. Since moving here we have gone to Tyler State Park and truly enjoy the walking trail around the lake. We will be renting and/bringing a canoe or kayak. The park is beautiful with great campsites and RV hook ups as well. Don’t forget picnic areas and a playground. Perfect for a family getaway for a get away and get outdoors.
Always a good time at TSP! Great swimming area, the camp sites are well maintained, and there are plenty of amenities, not to mention the funnest Mountain bike trail in the area. Anytime you can catch a hike or program with Ranger Boyd, do it. Ranger Boyd is great, very knowledgeable, funny, and great with all age groups.
Great! 2 mile hike around the lake. Very easy trail. All of the staff and rangers that I dealt with were fantastic.
