What a beautiful litte place. If you like to explore nature trails, there are three of them, all well below a mile. So this is not the place for hours of "hiking"/walking. Perfect for families with small children, with short trails, a playground and an educational nature center. Great launch pad for your own kayak, as well as available rentals. The ranger offers maps for on land as well as on water excursions. As previously mentioned by others, there is a $2 admission fee. Consider it a very small donation to preserve a beautiful piece of nature.
Love this park for many reasons, but the most valuable one to me is how secluded and naturally beautiful. There are clean restrooms, various walking trails, a caring, knowledgeable team of staff members, and a handful of private pavillions throughout this gem of a park!! And it's only $2 to get in!!!!!
This is a great hidden gem of a park. It's surrounded by water and nature. There are 3 or 4 different trails as well as kayak and canoe rentals. They even have a nature center with pictures and exhibits to check out. Also a few animals and fish for your viewing pleasure.
