Great place for a quick hike or a long workout. Dog friendly, old people friendly too. What great views around every corner.I love this place and what beautiful hiking for people from out of town. After the hike try one of Ventura's great restaurants downtown. Reopened DEC 7 but $7 per person or $45 a year. free on Tuesdays and Oh yes, your dog is only welcome on Wednesday and Friday but Friday is a free day.
Free admission on Fridays! Trail was pretty easy and breathtaking views of the ocean and downtown. There are some steps at the start of the trail, shortcut to go up. Dogs are welcomed as long as they are on their leashes. Definitely bring water to keep yourself hydrated.
Amazing opportunity to hike and take in some amazing views while also appreciating all of the plants that the garden has to offer. Our hike around the trails amounted to about 2 1/2 miles which had some slight inclines but was otherwise easy and definitely well worth the views.
