Mother Colony House, is one of the oldest and first buildings in Anaheim, constructed by George Hansen, also known as the "Father of Anaheim. The House was originally built as Hansen's home and office and is a classic example of an American Territorial-style cottage made of redwood and consisting of three small rooms and was built in 1857. An addition was added to the rear of the house in the 1870s. The front porch has an elaborate roof crest and a flaring eave on a single gable roof. The Mother Colony House Advisory Board was appointed by the Anaheim City Council to make recommendations for the preservation and maintenance of the house. In July 2013, the Mother Colony House was added to the list of historical places, and the adjacent Woelke-Stoffel house was classified as a cottage in the American Territorial style.

Ramon Peralta Adobe Historic Site, situated on the former Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, is a unique glimpse into the Santa Ana Canyon's rich past. The Peralta Adobe is a great historical site to visit and is the only one still standing in Anaheim. The site houses a small museum showcasing the area's history from the arrival of the first Spanish explorers in 1769 to the present day. RAMON PERALTA ADOBE HISTORIC SITE REVIEWS
Beautiful place. Couldn't believe I finally got to see it. Not gonna lie mostly came here to take pictures but it's a cool place to check out if you're in the area. And by all means, speak with the Docent! I promise you will learn something.
Don't be deceived by its small size. This little historic landmark is full of largely unknown local history. Be sure to take your time. Read the signage.
A great little piece of Early California. good visit.
