Marine Environmental Education Center at the Carpenter House aims to provide excellent marine education, interactive learning, and research with a focus on endangered sea turtles. Derek Burkholder is the director of the Marine Environmental Education Center. The MEEC was established through a partnership between Broward County Parks and Recreation and Nova Southeastern University. The facility is located on the historic grounds of the Carpenter House, constructed in 1941 by Hank Carpenter, at Hollywood North Beach Park. Marine Environmental Education Center at the Carpenter House offers daily public programming and general admission to the Interpretive Center, animal exhibits, and the historic Carpenter House itself. The center offers the chance to observe a sea turtle feeding, featuring their resident green sea turtles, Captain and Coral.

Hollywood Women's Club has a singular place in the history of Hollywood, which was founded by the First Ladies of Hollywood in 1927. The building was built in a Classic Revival style of architecture, surrounded by a large lawn. The house is listed as a National Historic Site as well as a Hollywood Historical Landmark. The Clubhouse overlooks the golf course of the Hollywood Beach and Golf Country Club. Hollywood Women's Club is available to rent for meetings, classes, events, and seminars. The Clubhouse's main event room is a 1,200-square-foot party room that can accommodate up to 60 people. The room has beautiful hardwood floors and a grand piano. Hollywood Women's Club provides free WiFi, ADA accessible restrooms and lift, a catering kitchen, and adequate parking for its guests.
