Tulare County Museum was established in 1909 and is the oldest county museum in California. The museum houses one of the largest Native American basket collections in California, along with artifacts from the pioneer era, restored buildings, agricultural equipment, and many other treasures that tell the history of Tulare County. The museum aims to educate residents of Tulare County as well as visitors on the importance of Tulare County's history, with the hope of recognizing its unique role in California history. The museum's latest exhibit is the History of Farm Labor and Agriculture Museum, which showcases the contributions of various artistic groups to farm labor and agriculture. Admission is free.

Visalia Fox Theatre is operated by the Visalia Friends of the Fox Theatre, a non-profit organization that was formed in December 1996 to acquire, restore, and reopen the theatre as a performing arts venue. The theatre first opened its doors in February 1930. The theatre was built by William Fox of Fox West Coast Theatres and designed by Los Angeles architects Floyd Stanbery and Clifford Balch. The theatre has an East Indian theme inside, including a giant genie that is above the proscenium arch, and to the sides of the stage are temple pagodas. The theater aims to preserve and operate the iconic Visalia Fox Theatre as a performing arts venue and gathering place that provides a focal point of cultural activity and educational outreach to benefit their diverse community.
