Melissa Danielson is fantastic. From the first day I started with her I felt she understood my personality and situation. She is great at asking big picture and clarifying questions that help with my productivity. Melissa creates a safe and comfortable enviornment where it feels easy to be open and get to the heard of issues. She has an excellent memory. Melissa is very encouraging and empathetic. She is a great listener when you need an understanding ear, and she will also provide little activities and exercises to help you along the way. She quickly identifies what your underlying concerns are and will guide you and offer a fresh perspective. Melissa is also incredibly open-minded so you can approach her with any topic and feel accepted and welcomed. She has an in-depth understanding of life practices and can help with trauma in this field, and also with connecting you to your personal truth. What I really love about counseling with Melissa is that she empowers YOU. There's the proverb that goes: "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." Well, Melissa is the kind of counselor who will teach you how to fish!

I am actually a former client of Dr. Danielson since I moved out of state. I can say that she's definitely a kind and compassionate person as well as a really good counselor. She helped me through a tough time. She'll offer feedback which I appreciate but it is usually very well received because she's also truly a positive, supportive person who genuinely cares about people's feelings and knows how to listen closely.
