“Dr. Hyun W. Bae obtained his MD from Yale University School of Medicine and completed his surgical internship at North Shore University Hospital. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and his fellowship in spine at Case Western Hospital in Cleveland. He has a special interest in intervertebral disc repair and developing a biologic solution to disc degeneration. Dr. Hyun W. Bae specializes in minimally invasive microsurgery and treating cervical and lumbar spine disorders. He is a pioneer in multi-level artificial disc replacement for the cervical and lumbar spine. He is the professor and director of spine education at Cedars-Sinai Spine Center. He is the author of many articles based on his research, and he has been an active presenter at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. He researches using adult stem cells to regenerate nerve tissue in patients with injuries to the spinal cord. Dr. Hyun W. Bae is a member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and Cervical Spine Research Society. He is on the Board of Directors at the Korean American Spine Society. Dr. Hyun W. Bae practices at the Spine Institute and is affiliated with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Providence Saint John's Health Center.”
