I have recommended doctor Karlin to 3 other people; that's how confident I am in him. He took the time to explain thoroughly my condition and what my options were if I chose surgery, or if I chose to do nothing. He showed me my x-rays and MRI in detail, explaining as he went. He answered all my questions. Without surgical intervention, I would eventually have become a quadruplegic; however, he never pushed surgery on me, but rather, let me decide what I would do. He encouraged me to bring my husband to my 2nd appointment because there was so much information to absorb. I was never rushed through an appointment. He approached me with a caring manner and never made me feel like he thought he was God doing me a favor. He is not arrogant, but yet it is obvious he has had exemplary training and is proud and confident of his skills and abilities to help people. I left feeling like he really did want to make me better so I could live a full life. He personally called me the night before my surgery to offer comfort and answer any further questions. I told him I was anxious, but he didn't make me feel silly. I would highly recommend making an appointment, if for nothing more than to explore your options. You will not be disappointed in doctor Joshua Karlin.

Best doctor appointment that I have had in years. Dr Karlin explained everything to me, with x-rays in hand, and answered all my questions. I never felt rushed through the appointment. Hunter also worked patiently with me setting up a surgery date. I left the office feeling very informed and confident.

Dr Karlin was 1st doctor to diagnose the cause of my back pain correctly. He explains everything extremely well. He and his staff are friendly. I am so pleased with the outcome of my ALIF surgery.
