Big museum with lots of different exhibits on display. We liked the armor, and the ancient materials from BCE. Many paintings, carvings, and collections. The Antioch Mosaic is huge, beautiful and amazing. The Chapter house is a reconstructed castle room - dissembled and reconstructed piece by piece inside the museum! The exhibits change frequently so things can be different each time you go.
Fairly large art museum located in Worcester about an hour from Boston. General admission is not free but parking is free. Food options are extremely limited. We came to see the temporary Rembrandt etchings exhibit which was excellent. The permanent exhibits are extensive and we didn’t try to see everything but we enjoyed the impressionist paintings particularly. There are activities specifically for kids. Lots of stairs but grandma can take the elevator.
My husband and I were there today! All the floral arrangements were beautiful! Loved the art, the music and the area dining. it was a lovely afternoon!
