Dr. Philip Townsend, Ph.D

When I first entered therapy I had very little faith in the fact that it would work. It definitely was not an overnight fix or a pill that I could take that would instantly make me feel better. I was very pleased with the patience Doctor Townsend had with me and the time that he spent with me listening to what I had to say and explaining things in a different perspective from the way I was looking at things. He has a great manner about him and he is a very honest, sincere, and understanding person that can help you work through many things that you did not know you needed help with. I am glad to have met him and I enjoy my visits to his office.

We have been seeing Dr. Townsend for our son for several years. Dr. Townsend seems to be a very caring psychologist. He always has a very positive attitude and works well with children. He looks for the positive in others and is very complimentary. It is also nice that he has a pet dog named Sophie that helps set people at ease. Finally, his office staff (Rebecca) is easy to work with in terms of billing and scheduling appointments.

He was my therapist and support system. An incredible doctor who is there for you. I only stopped seeing him because I retired and moved to another city. That was 4 years ago. I still miss him.
