" Sunset Park has over 324 acres of parkland, playgrounds, walking trails, a splash pad, shaded picnic areas, and open turf areas. The park has volleyball and basketball courts, softball fields, a dog park, a disc golf course, and walking and jogging trails. The park hosts numerous special events, including the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival and a Clark County signature event. Sunset Park has nine softball fields, five playgrounds, two Little League fields, eight basketball courts, and several miles of walking paths. The park offers a fitness course and is an excellent park with plenty of playgrounds for kids, outdoor exercise stations, and a large pond/lake with lots of ducks and geese, both wild and domestic.

2026 Highlights: Sunset Park features the last remaining dunes from historic Paradise Valley preserved inside the park. The park contains Sunset Park Pond, where visitors can fish for free with a license. It has two separate dog runs for small and large dogs with a shaded picnic space."

The park has four lakes that are stocked for fishing. Floyd Lamb Park has tree-shaded groves alongside fishing lakes. Visitors can enjoy fishing, picnicking, walking and biking trails, and even horseback riding. The park has vast spaces for kids to play and enjoy their free time with families and friends.

The park has large parking areas, also for large operations.

It has a spring-fed fishing pond, lakes, reservable picnic areas, sports fields, and a water-play children’s playground. SUNSET PARK REVIEWS

Big and has real Grass. And the lake is clean and there is no trash flying around. And the park was almost full. And I still was able to find a nice clean spot for the BBQ. Next to the lake i had a very relaxing day. Even with all the people that were there on a Saturday. I would recommend you go everyday of the week. For relaxing and walking around the lake and people watching.

Such a beautiful park right in the heart of Las Vegas! I really love the desert park, it’s a fully paved and flat trail that is perfect for biking, jogging or just a relaxing walk and the main park is beautiful too, with a huge pond that is filled with ducks and geese.

A great park to gather or spend time outdoors. Restrooms are available and ready to use. There's a kids playground and lake to enjoy.

FLOYD LAMB PARK REVIEWS

Excellent park! Lots of pathways, tons of water spots for the wildlife, tons of geeze and ducks. There are lots of places to sit, to eat, and to gather. The buildings are historical, which is so awesome. The park closes really early, 5pm, so go early or in the middle of the day. You can fish there also, 3 fish limit. The geese were not the kind that chase people or attack them, they seemed really unbothered by our presence. Would love to go back, there is also a bike path.

Hidden gem of north Las Vegas. Perfect spot when you want to escape in nature. It's a quiet, beautiful place with lakes and lots of trees. Great location for photography, I've had a couple shoots there. There's peacocks and other wildlife. I learned it actually used to be some sort of divorcee retreat back in the day..you can read about the history outside some of the buildings. There's a charge to get in $6. You can use card.

This is the perfect place to come to relax and enjoy nature. There are places to throw out a blanket and enjoy a picnic or just stop by and enjoy the lake on one of the benches. You can always find ducks to observe or even bring a fishing rod and enjoy fishing. There is a walking path around the lake and park. Make sure you keep your eye out for the peacocks as they are beautiful.

Park is Beautiful did an event there. There are homeless everywhere going thru the trash cans. Definitely would not be a place I go to for fun or take my kids. I was there doing an event for the city. They had corn Vendors everywhere and all kinds of other selling without permits or License. They definitely don't manage that park well.

This place was fantastic, Watching the ducks and geese Was an amazing Experience it was so much fun the park is huge and has so many things to do places to sit and play people were very friendly.

The park is a great place to hang out with family and friends. They have slide, swings, playgrounds and a water park great for little ones. Tons of grass to have a picnic at or if you have dogs or other pets to play in.
