The best park of the city of Grand Prairie, the city of parks. It is one of the best in the state of Texas. This park has nocturnal animals and enough bushes for them to hide. City does a good job with bright lightning to keep them away from public access areas. The west Trinity river fork runs thru the park. The canals in lake are full of gold fish and turtles. Part of the lake is wetland and the elevated bridge over lake extends the trail to 2 mile each way. If you are in a hurry to take a walk, this trail can take you in and out of nature very quick. Thanks to the people of the city who fought for this park and forced the state to build elevated highway without interfering with the natural setting of the area.
This is a great park! Nicely manicured grounds. Wide open paths for walkers, bikers and people riding horses. The park is exceptionally clean. There is a large pond for some fishing and multiple playgrounds for the kids. This is a great place to have a picnic, take a walk or ride your bike.
This park is a great. It has alit options for the kids along with a ton of softball games. The atmosphere is respectable and kid friendly. The park staff is always helpful and very attentive as well.
