I can’t say enough positive things about my experience at Gen Acupuncture in Antioch. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for. The clinic is peaceful, clean, and has a calming energy that immediately puts you at ease. David is truly exceptional. His knowledge, professionalism, and genuine care for his patients are evident in every session. He takes the time to listen, understand your concerns, and tailor treatments specifically to your needs. His techniques are gentle yet incredibly effective—I noticed a significant improvement in both my physical and mental well-being after just a few visits. Whether you’re dealing with pain, stress, or looking to improve your overall health, I highly recommend David. It’s rare to find someone so skilled and compassionate in this field.

David is an amazing acupuncturist!!! I was barely able to walk into his office and was almost able to skip out because he found the exact location of the injury. Office is CLEAN and his bed side manners are great!!! I recently found David while working in Sunnyvale and needing help with lower back and hip issues. David was working at their other location in Sunnyvale and assisted me. He told me they had the Antioch clinic which worked for me as I live in Modesto. When my injury reappeared I called David and set up the appointment in Antioch. He once again fixed me up and I left feeling great. I will drive whatever distance to go see David for any issues I have.

I’ve had issues for many months and I’ve tried different doctors, and chiropractors that didn’t help. Then I went to Gen acupuncture, which solved my issue. Now I feel GREAT! Whoever reads this, you need to give them a try!! Your health is so important and anyone with pain/issues should definitely give it a shot.

Joyce Wu gave me my life back. I suffered for years from severe fatigue, digestive problems, and muscle pain. Before seeing Joyce I was bedridden for days and weeks at a time, and a dozen other health practitioners I saw (including three acupuncturists) only brought me marginal improvement. Joyce’s approach was very different from the others and has included acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, raw herbs, and specific nutritional guidance. She also made herself available by phone and email between treatments to answer questions and monitor my progress. I felt major improvement within weeks of seeing her, and after a few months my health has never been better. Her treatment has truly worked wonders for me.

I met Joyce Wu while she was a student intern. Even as a student, she was one of the best diagnosticians I’ve had the good fortune to meet. Joyce was the only one to get underneath a problem created by medical misdiagnosis in my first six months of life that caused ever-expanding problems for almost 70 years. With Joyce’s help, I was finally able to start real healing. She has continued to learn and to improve her skills and now uses the most advanced and effective acupuncture techniques that I’ve ever experienced in the more than 35 years using TCM to do what western approaches could not. I would recommend Joyce to anyone who has tried virtually everything and is still serious about getting well.

Joyce Wu utilizes a variety of modalities (acupuncture, herbs, cupping) to address my specific needs. She gives me adequate time for optimal treatment. This place is a hidden gem. It was my first time trying acupuncture. I was afraid and skeptical. The place is calming. Peter and his wife are kind and they make you feel right at home. Peter is highly skilled and my treatment was so good I told everyone who would listen! This place is absolutely amazing. I have pre-scheduled my next 6 appointments.

I can't believe I wasted so much time seeing another accupuncture place in town. It wasn't until meeting Peter Challenor and his wife that I finally found relief. After just one visit I felt so much better. My back problems have been with me for years, luckily I decided to try someone new. Peter is amazing!!! (Julie is awesome too!.

Peter and his Wife are absolutely amazing. The set up is super inviting, I love the way the place is set up. Treatment was fantastic. Best place to go for acupuncture Peter knows what hes doing. Will be going back ecery other week.for sure. And they have the cutest little french bulldog. A plus for me because I am an animal lover.
