I cannot say enough good things about Pollman’s Bakery!!! They baked and decorated 3 cakes for our daughter’s wedding at the Battle House Hotel in Mobile: Brides cake, Grooms cake and Bridal Charm Pull cake. All 3 cakes were absolutely delicious and decorated perfectly!! Michelle helped us from start to finish in the most professional and pleasant way. From scheduling tastings, to helping us determine amounts of cake needed to helping us finalize the way we wanted our cakes decorated and flavors - she was with us every step of the way and made this such a pleasant and stress- free experience! Michelle is the best!! The staff at Pollmans also made our cakes with such expert skill - they made our fillings just as we asked and the traditional piping on our Brides Cake was perfection. Also, their fondant work for our Grooms cake (chef jacket) was perfection!! All of our wedding guests continue to ask me where the cakes were from- they could not get over how delicious and perfectly decorated they were!!! I have another daughter getting married in 2027….we live in Hattiesburg and we will be planning on ordering cakes and sending a driver to Mobile to pick them up for her wedding… that is just how good they are!! If I could give Michelle and the staff at Pollmans a 100 star review, I would!!! Outstanding!!!!!!

The team at Pollman’s really came through for me when my order was canceled by another baker the day of my daughter’s birthday event! I called Pollman’s and they immediately agreed to help and produced the perfect cake, exactly like what my daughter wanted! I can’t thank this staff enough and recommend them for all your bakery needs! I will absolutely be back!! Thanks again Pollmans!

We want to thank Michelle and the employees for helping us with a last min 50th anniversary wedding cake for our mother and father ! We appreciate the extra mile Michelle went to try and replicate there wedding cake 50 years ago thank you again for getting this done on such a short time !

Gluncles Gluten Free Bakery in Mobile is an absolute treasure for anyone with gluten intolerance or celiac disease, especially those with a sweet tooth. My wife, who has celiac and is always on the hunt for gluten-free treats, stumbled upon this quaint bakery during our visit—and she was beyond delighted. The variety at Gluncles is nothing short of impressive, offering a wide array of gluten-free options to satisfy any craving. Every bite she tried was crafted with care, delivering both taste and quality. The welcoming and cozy atmosphere added to the charm, making the experience even more enjoyable.

I was diagnosed with Celiac about thirteen years ago, and it was rough trying to find great gluten-free food. This morning, my boyfriend and I went in there to try a few things. Not only were the staff so amazingly nice and awesome, but the food they serve is delicious! We will definitely be going back there! I got the oatmeal creme pies (as big as my hand), Bodacious Berry Cake (strawberry Bundt cake), and a cinnamon roll ( I also got it warmed). Delicious food and amazing people!!

Delicious! The Chocolate cake was light moist ,and not overly sweeten. The packaging was elegant with a clean presentation .We were at a tasting in Bluff Park .The owner was nice and knowledgeable about gluten free products and baked goods.

As other reviewers have mentioned the pasties are expensive and the first time I visited I got major sticker shock. And yet, a couple weeks later I went back again. And again. A box of their pastries makes a really thoughtful gift for friends—they’re delicious, and ridiculously beautiful. I’ve also ordered two custom cakes for my boyfriend who is gluten-free. They were incredible. Places like this represent a shift in Mobile’s downtown scene and I really like it.

Discovered this little jewel of a bakery today. Baked goods including croissants , both sweet and croissant savory sandwiches, all manner of cookies and cakes with creative ingredients like cardamom. Delightful people. They don’t serve drinks … but welcomed us to bring our own. Limited seating upstairs.

It's definitely one of those places you don't mind paying a little more. We've tried so many different items and they're all amazing. The tomato tart is exceptional.
