Had this place on my list for quite some time…and they did not disappointed. I arrived at 1701 Barbecue just before 11am and wandered around to the smokers and chatted with some of the pit crew. There’s a lot to choose from here and the carver was great help…they had Beef Ribs “on sale” so I had to grab one of them, a jalapeño & cheddar link, and I was convinced to try one of their lean brisket sandwiches. I rarely order lean brisket, normally too dry and little flavor but was blown away by this great piece of smoked meat. The sandwich…delicious and I really love their BBQ sauce. The beef rib was solid and the crust was a perfect complement to the moist meat of the rib. I don’t see loose grind sausage very often, and this sausage was solid with some extra kick to it. I’ll be having a sausage and beef rib breakfast sandwich tomorrow. The service here is extremely friendly and I enjoyed talking to the Manager Travis, plus he gave me a new place to go scope out. It’s no wonder this place is a Texas Top 50!!!

Came here for lunch and I can confidently say as of now this is my favorite bbq in the Beaumont port author area. The staff was nice and the food was good. They have a nice shop that smells great as soon as you walk in. My favorite part was the jalapeño sausage. Had great flavor and a good snap.

Everything was very good. And the service was great. I definitely recommend it.

The Seed was planted a long time ago…My husband has always been a Pitt Master! Thank you baby for paying for my first certification (Nurse Assistant) way back in the 80’s by bringing your Pitt Master equipment and selling your barbecue to construction workers in the streets of Austin, Texas for 3 weeks! Now 7 degrees later (between us)and pastoring for 32 years- enjoy your craft!!!! Keep having fun!!! I have never seen you sooo happy. You deserve it… You have demonstrated that the Seed never dies!!!! Your Wankie!!!

It was my first time at Broussards in Beaumont! I will forever be a fan. The links are delicious and great texture. This is a locally owned establishment ran by some genuine people. They’ve got great prices and a drive thru!

Great people, great customer service. Best BBQ spot in Beaumont.

Charlie's Bar B Que & Catering is some of the best barbeque in my opinion in the entire Golden Triangle. If your hungry for some really really good barbecue, Charlie's Bar B Que & Catering is your one stop restaurant for some the finest barbecue in the State of Texas.

Delicious. I got the brisket plate with coleslaw and baked beans. Filled me right up! They'll greet you coming in and say goodbye as you leave. Definitely coming back for future lunches!

Great flavor and more then enough to get stuffed.
