RUDY'S "COUNTRY STORE" AND BAR-B-Q REVIEWS

We went in a Monday afternoon, the place was almost empty so we didn’t make any line to order. It was a fast service. Service was good, we ordered a baked potato, 1/2 lb of turkey, a sausage and two drinks and paid around $40. The turkey was good but I preferred the brisket. I would recommend this place.

Everyone is really nice and helpful if you haven't been here before. They help you decide what to order and suggest the best sauces. We loved the brisket, smoked turkey, the sides and yummy Banana pudding and peach cobbler. You'll be back!

Some recommended us this place, and I’m so grateful we went. It’s very peaceful and absolutely delicious. Without a doubt, the turkey, jalapeño sausage, and house-made sauces are a must-try!

1848 has hands down the best beer selection in the valley. With 20 constantly rotating taps and a varied can and bottle selection, it's my go-to for craft beer. The food is also delicious with in-house smoked brisket, sausage, ribs, and turkey; this place is the THE place to go for families or anyone looking to have a great time! Aldo and Michelle are great and make it a fantastic experience every time.

We walked in at approximately 4:45 PM, mind you they close at 5...and with surprise the employees were happy to serve us..they were friendly and the grub was satisfying..Thank YOU for making our Saturday delightful!

First time. Great food and awesome service. Clean and built in atmosphere. Will definitely come again. The chopped brisket awesome and the sauce really good.

This place truly has the best barbacoa I've ever had thus far. Another great brunch idea Fri Sat sun only. Close at 2. Try the pound of cachete. The flour tortillas, and either a coke or big red should go perfectly with it. Also, the owners gave us a free sample of carnitas! The way he made them, with lime, tastes amazing!!! Definitely returning.

Vera's has some of the best barbacoa in the RGV. It's surprising that not many people know of this place. The barbacoa is made in el poso (hole)which helps the flavor concentrate. They offer menudo, carnitas, brisket and of course barbacoa. Best place to take the family to in the weekend.

Omg when i say i felt like home just got back from Houston Tx and when i walked in to Veras i felt like i was talking to family ordering was easy and everyone was all smiles. I will definitely be back next Sunday!! Many blessings to the Veras!
