3 Best Barbecue Restaurants in Corpus Christi, TX

Went in, and it was a little weird because I got stuck at the pick up counter because it’s the first thing you see, but the lady waved us down and got us settled to grab our trays for dine in. She did not explain any of the menu. The tone and service were monotone, not rude. Which is okay.. but we figured out later on after hearing the Christian music playing in the background that it was definitely who we were. lol. But the food! They must be Baptist because growing up Pentecostal there is not one of them that could cook like that. The beef ribs were AMAZING! The smoked chicken accompanied by Their bbq sauce was fantastic and I LOVED, LOVED, AND LOVED their potato salad. Their macaroni was so good it got stolen by my partner who got their shredded beef nachos, which was also really good. They will have to deal with my gay ass once in a while because that place is a food diamond, and has me posting a positive review two days ago because I just can’t stop thinking about the food. Thank y’all.

O.M.G. Look… when you are a Louisiana girl, and you eat your BBQ with the sauce smoked on and not to the side, its hard to really appreciate Texas BBQ (no offense just a cultural thing)… BUT BABY!!! The bartender at our hotel recommended this place and it’s the truth. The pork ribs and the mac and cheese?? CHEFS KISS. Super affordable, great service, home vibes, just wonderful. Highly recommend. Soooo good! + The staff = a warm southern hug.

As we all know GOOD Beff ribs are very hard to find ! Well I’ve found them ! And they are large and in charge here ! And supper tender but still enough to give you the hand to mouth experience! Service is genuine and local ! Brisket is fresh and moist! Enjoy this place.

My husband and I went there for lunch today the food was delicious. My second time coming I LOVE their brisket and potatoes salad. This time I got their pecan pie and cheese cake it was delicious. The service was excellent. The 3 workers who were there were very attended and made sure we had everything we need.

The outer appearance of the place is different from other bbq restaurants I’ve been too. But the food inside is worth it. We tried the poor boy sandwich which has three types of meat and order the potato salad as a side. We got there early to avoid the crowd. Everything freshly cooked and baked potatoes are delicious.

Food was really good. The sausage was on point and I would recommend this if you’re in the area. I was working for a client here in Corpus Christi and they said this is one of their favorite spots to visit. from what I understand this is a local favorite and it’s kind of a hole in a wall kind of place.
