His mission was to own a family-run, family-friendly brick and mortar place, so he has to move his family back to Fort Wayne and roots in 2000. Shigs In Pit Barbeque was started by the idea of three longtime colleagues have joined their love of food with the competition; they are for Mad Anthony owners, Todd Grantham and Jeff Neels along with their buddy Stefan Kelley, a network settings director for Logikos, partnered to form Shigs In Pit Competition BBQ company. Their teams are competing in nationwide sanctioned BBQ contests during the Midwest. In 2005, two of them (Kelley and Grantham) enrolled a neighborhood rib contest and won top honors, and Jeff Neels got an award of first Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned competition in Madison, where they got the 6th place in chicken and to won numerous awards for their smoked meats. The barbeque goal is to produce the finest ingredients and kind service at a fair price. They offer classic buffets or customize a menu to fit your requirements with a wide variety of smoked meats and excellent side dishes. Full bar service, linen service, and on-site staffings are available.
