Forever outstanding and unique. I wish Johnson’s Boucaniere wasn’t a 6 hour drive, but it’s worth every mile-marker and p-stop. From their smoked-fried-chicken skins to their brisket-stuffed grilled cheese sandwiches, they easily standout amongst even the most laudable Texas ‘que joints —and they ain’t even trying to.
Incredibly delicious food! The brisket was super tasty and made very well. Boudin is a must try and awesome bread pudding. Super friendly staff and overall great bbq. I definitely recommend if you’re in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Liked their smoked meat lunch plate- I got boudin, potato salad, and jambalaya with it! I wanna try a grilled cheese sandwich next time.
