3 Best Indian Restaurants in Lafayette, LA

Having moved here from Ontario, Canada where great Indian food is everywhere, we honestly weren’t expecting to be wowed. But Destination India was such a wonderful surprise! We had the Chicken 65, the Chef’s Special Biryani, Madras Coffee, and Gulab Jamun and everything was absolutely delicious. The spice levels were spot on, and the flavors were deep and authentic. The chicken was perfectly crisp, the biryani was fragrant and satisfying, and the gulab jamun? Warm, soft, and just heavenly. But the real standout for us was the Madras Coffee , rich, creamy, and brewed to perfection. I’ve been craving one for ages, and this truly hit the spot! Can’t wait to go back and try their buffet !!!

We celebrated Mother’s Day as a large group there and we’re really impressed. For most of us, it was our first time being exposed to the cuisine and we left completely satisfied. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. We had the buffet and there was a range of hot and delicious dishes to choose from. One of our group inquired about a particular dish that wasn’t on the buffet and the staff showed up with it at our table a few minutes later. 10/10 strongly recommend for the food and service.

Amazing food! Great service. We went for Valentine’s Day and they had a buffet set up. I cannot stress enough how much they deserve more business. One of the best restaurants in town.

First time for me in an Indian restaurant. I had the Curry shrimp and it was awesome. I never had Curry, now I'm a fan! The Lentil soup was like no other I've had before... awesome also. The coleslaw was so good, no mayo here. Not sure but I think it's a chili sauce, ( it's a clear sause) best coleslaw I've ever had. The atmosphere is authentic, the owners were so friendly and made you feel at home. Definitely would recommend trying Priya's Indian Food.

Priya’s was a pleasant surprise! I was excited to show my dad authentic South Indian food and this place was legit. They can make almost anything gluten free. The owner and her husband were the sweetest and we will definitely be coming back for more!

Wow. A hidden gem. You can tell that Priya puts so much love, care, and passion into everything. Her food and business really shine and she is always there to ask how you liked the food. I cant recommend this place enough.
