“Dr. Fernando Ruiz received his medical education at the Luis Razetti School of Medicine at the Central University of Venezuela. He completed his internship and a residency at the Hospital of Saint Raphael and Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his cardiology fellowship at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans and his interventional cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, interventional, and nuclear cardiology. He has won numerous awards, including the Medical Staff President’s Research Award from Yale University and the Albert Hyman Fellow of the Year Award from Tulane University. Dr. Fernando Ruiz is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, and the American Heart Association. He is a multilingual cardiologist who speaks English, Italian, and Spanish. He practices at the Cardiovascular Institute of the South.”
