Dr. Patel is one of the few medical professionals I speak highly of. I've been seeing him for 4 years managing a thyroid disorder. He helped lessen the damage my uneducated primary doctor did regarding inaccurate medication dosage. My bloodwork has been in the normal range the entire time under his care. He knows his stuff. If you care about your health, and proactively keep yourself accountable, he is the second piece to living a full life symptom free with an autoimmune disorder. If you're looking for a doctor to coddle you and allow you to continue down an unhealthy path just to make you feel "comfortable" then perhaps looks elsewhere. 10/10 Recommend.

Dr. Patel is a very good Endocrinologist. He is caring, thorough and very helpful on how to take care of yourself. People need to understand science, it takes individual effort to watch what you eat, exercise, and follow the doctor's instructions. Only you can take charge of making your life better.

Dr. Patel has been a part of my family for way over 25 years. We moved 2 1/2 hours away and continue to make the trek to see him. We love his staff too.

This doctor is not open minded and he yelled at me. There is no way I can feel comfortable with this person as my doctor. I almost walked out of my first appointment when he yelled a couple of times. Also, his office messed up my order for continuous glucose monitors. I ran out of supplies and had to call the supplier every day to troubleshoot the problems between doctor's office and supplier. Dr D and I are the same age. He totally relates what I am dealing with as a 63 year old. Takes the time to understand and communicate. Just a great doctor...

Dr. Desai has been my parents' endocrinologist for over a decade now, and they have had nothing but good things to say about him this whole time. So recently when I received some abnormal test results regarding my thyroid, I went to see Dr. Desai about them, and he was very caring and helpful about explaining my test results. After further testing, Dr. Desai diagnosed me with a thyroid disease I knew nothing about before his diagnosis; yet he has since helped me understand what it is, how it affects me, and how I can manage it. He has always been quick to answer any questions I've sent him via Kaiser email, and he's constantly been on top of checking my bloodwork to closely monitor the production of my thyroid.

I was using insulin as a type 2 diabetic and Dr. Desai guided me toward a plant-based diet that got me off the insulin and stabilized my blood chemistry reducing the medications I needed to take.

I'd highly recommend seeing Dr. Desai if you're a Kaiser member and in need of an endocrinologist.
