Dr. Karen Krotine at Clarkson Eyecare in Franconia, VA is a fantastic optometrist. I’ve had a few appointments with her over the last couple of months and she has helped me immensely. I was previously diagnosed with a chalazion at an ophthalmologist, but I received less than desirable follow up and care, and the problem went unresolved. I found Dr Krotine online and was able to get in easily with an appointment. She is the best eye care professional that I have ever visited. She is highly knowledgeable and thorough in her approach. She takes time with her parents and doesn’t rush the process. She resolved my eye infection issue and has guided the me through the process of selecting new contact lenses that are more comfortable. If you need an optometrist with a wealth of experience, knowledge, and a pleasant manner, I highly suggest Dr. Krotine at Clarkson Eyecare. The staff there is also amazing and always provides exemplary customer service and a high level of professionalism.

I have been “seeing” Dr. Krotine for 10+ years now and love that she takes the time to personalize her exams and recommendations and keeps up on all the current and upcoming advancements in vision care. Appointment scheduling is easy for annual exams and medical issues that might arise. The office consistently hires pleasant and professional staff. I feel like this practice is like family. Thanks.

Every time I go for my eye exam Dr. Chay is so welcoming and nice. He is very professional and smart. If there are any new surgeries or medical discoveries about the eyes he will tell you about them just to educate you better. All my experiences have been very professional and most pleasant so I leave feeling good even with drops in my eyes!

Dr. Chay is a delight as well as a great doctor. He and his staff are caring but efficient and very friendly. My questions were all answered, and everything was explained to me step by step. Highly recommend!.

I have had multiple retina problems in the past 17 years, and Doctor Gordon Byrnes has successfully resolved, repaired, or mitigated all of these. I have 20/20 eyesight today thanks solely and totally to Dr Byrnes. Dr Byrnes is not only the best eye doctor I’ve ever had, he’s the best doctor I’ve ever had period, irregardless of speciality. I also highly recommend Dr Byrnes’ employer, Retina Group of Washington, which has multiple outstanding facilities at various locations across the DMV.
