Dr. Greg Marchand is originally from Providence, RI, and is a board-certified physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at Spartan Health Science University. He has completed a two-year fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS), accredited by the Society of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeons (SLS). Dr. Greg Marchand is recognized internationally as a pioneer in developing laparoscopic techniques and an expert minimally invasive surgeon and teaching surgeon. He has received certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as a “Focused Practice in MIGS,” which is currently the highest certification available for MIGS surgeons. He was recently honored with a World Record for performing a total laparoscopic hysterectomy through the smallest incision ever. Dr. Greg Marchand was also one-half of the team that was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records(TM) for removing a seven pound uterus without needing to cut open the patient.
