TWO PONDS NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE REVIEWS
Beautiful nature preserve with views of the mountains. There are many different paths or trails to choose from. There is also a pavilion (just built) that has picnic tables. It's beautiful in the fall time with all the foliage. The trails have some inclines, but overall not too challenging. Love all the open grassy spaces too. The river is also nice. It was actually pretty clear when we went. Wild asparagus grows on the sides of the paths in certain areas. Can't wait to come and check it out when it's in season.
Perfect place to take kids to appreciate nature. You can find an abandoned fox den, observe various birds, plants and animal tracks. In the spring, milkweed and monarch butterflies are everywhere! Also, many frogs and cattails. Portable toilets on site, easy parking lot, perfect field to bring a picnic.
It was so beautiful and just such an adventure going to that place and it was just wonderful

VAN BIBBER OPEN SPACE REVIEWS
I love this path and the fall colors were great. People are usually friendly and there is a mix of dogs, horses, runners, and walkers. It’s never bust enough to feel crowded and the dirt trails get you a little further from the people.
Love the fact that Colorado HAS these open spaces! We went at dawn and were there only ones there. Just a lovely quiet place complete with restrooms.
I take my Hiboy Titan Pro out there all the time and cruise around! Beautiful views, friendly people and my favorite...... the dogs!c

NORTH TABLE MOUNTAIN PARK WEST TRAILHEAD REVIEWS
North Table Mountain is one of my favorite nature areas across the front range. The mountain feels like another world in a lot of ways with tons of unique rocks, lichen, and wonderful views in every area. The sunsets up here are epic especially when there are clouds affecting the lights and shadows. The rock quarry on the west of the mountain is amazing and offers some unique perspectives of the area. Make the trek up to Lichen Peak to see all the lichen laden rocks that are wonderful to photograph. This is a gem in the area and only a short drive from Denver!
Excellent hiking spot in Golden. Great for a day hike. The toughest part was the trailhead leading up to it, but it doesn’t take long and you’re rewarded with some pretty awesome views of Golden, Denver off in the distance, and the surrounding mountains. Great spot for a picnic and you can grab a beer at one of the breweries back in town.
There was good signage on the trail but not too much. I appreciate that you can go all the way around the mountain on the trail system, getting a view in any direction from up high. Great experience. Going on a cloudy day is best, because the top is completely exposed.
