“Pictograph Cave State Park covers approximately 23 acres and features many places for enjoying various activities such as hiking, biking, walking, camping, picnicking, and jogging. This nature area is managed by the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks. Visitors can enjoy a unique chance to explore the mystery of this extraordinary site and tour the new visitor center. The trail includes the oldest rock art in the cave, over 2,000 years old. The trail also has a pleasant ¼-mile loop path to the caves, with interpretive displays. Pictograph Cave State Park is a great place for bird watching. The trail also features a diverse range of native wildlife and bird species. This park offers a picnic area, a gift shop, and a small interpretive museum with artifacts on display.”
