I thought Daly City only had Filipino Food. That's all. I had no idea they have a beautiful beach and hike. Mussel Rock is very accessible. Tons of parking. Wander down a short hike wanderings. Chill at the beach. Play with your dog. Look at the sunset. See people paragliding. This is my jam. A place where locals go. Right behind houses on Skyline, yet not too close. If you're in SF and don't want to drive too far to get away, come here. It doesn't have the overcrowded vibe of Lands End.

Beautiful trails!! There are many trails overlooking the ocean and access to the beach. Dog-friendly on leash. If you are looking for some strenuous hike, there is some hills to climb as well. And this free books stand is very cute. Take one; leave one later. We got ourselves a magazine to read by the ocean. Plenty of benches available throughout the trails to relax and take in the views.

What a hike! I've done this a few times and always start by Skyline College. The view of the ocean from there is gorgeous, and it gets better and better as you go up the hills. I've been here during the sun (going up and down the hills gets you hot!) and during intense fog. The fog makes it impossible to see the ocean or any view at all, but man hiking through the trees with the racing fog is an eerily cool experience. Feels like you're on a quest to Mordor or something. Pro-tip though: No
