CENTRAL PARK REVIEWS
There a nice playground here with lots of picnic benches under some shade trees. There's a playground for big kids and another one for the litter ones. There are several pavilions you can reserve or just have a picnic if they're not in use. There are bathrooms here, but I didn't check if they're open. The real hidden treasure here are the nature trails!!
This is a spacious and beautiful park. It feels safe but never overcrowded or desolate. There is a nice trail and large creek as well as scooter rental. There are gazebos and plenty of other shaded areas with trees. Thus park is well kept and very accessible from the surrounding neighborhoods. There is plenty of parking as well.
This is a great spot to hike or walk your dog. It's not as big as it appears on the map, but still a good walk if you stay on the concret trails. There are couple of primitive trails that are really nice and one follows the creek. Looks like the primitive trails will really stretch your walk.

LLELA NATURE PRESERVE REVIEWS
Great hiking trails! Dense trails with lots of benches to rest along the way. We saw a deer and heard lots of chatty birds. I did encounter lots of poison oak. So beware of your surroundings. They also offer kayak trails, fishing, and camping. It’s $5 to enter. Happy Hiking!
A fantastic hidden gem so close to dallas. This nature preserve is unique and there are trails unlike anywhere else. Our favorite was the Bitten Marsh trail. The highlight was the boardwalk that cuts through the marshy terrain. While there we forgot that we are so close to city amidst the rich flora and fauna. We also really liked the observation points and the dam overlook. Parking is abundant and the trail is clearly marked.
Beautiful hiking experiences and haven't visited the campground parts yet but definitely going back to check it out. If your a nature person it's awesome, and huge pavilions and stuff for family's.

NORTHSHORE TRAIL REVIEWS
Love it. Feels like you are away. Peaceful trails, birding, biking, dogs on leash, lake and flora. I went there to mountain bike, but due to the rains the mtb trails were closed so I hiked it. I had a blast! I meditated in front of the lake for twenty minutes and could see people sun athing in the distance. I will return to mountains bike and explore some more this beautiful setting.
Best trail for hiking, biking. Period. Trail closed when muddy, please don't attempt to ride on the trail when closed. The trail status is posted on the site, on the major trailheads, and the Facebook page. The eastern trail runs along a few high, steep banks with great lake views. The entire trail from start to finish, one way, is 20 miles (around 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on your MTB experience). Hikers usually pick around 2-3 of the 7 different trails to hike, as they are 2 to 3 miles long each.
It's a great trail of you're looking for a xc ride. The east side is more flowy and the west side is pretty technical. Not many jumps or built features to speak of, but a beautiful trail for pedaling and enjoying the scenery.
